Lights , Camera , Idaho? Not So much.

WOLFS LAIR PING1 225pxVma214a

It’s no big secret that , Idaho is known for our taters, the fact that we harvest barley for Budweiser, and maybe that we offer great fishing. Idaho has not held out the welcome mat for Hollywood. While our neighbors in Utah have had mucho Hollywood in its infrastructure for many, many years, the question is why not Idaho? One of the few things that keeps me in Idaho is our dramatically grand scenery. The  intense  sunsets, the crisp gorgeous sunrises, mysterious full moons of mid summer, and albeit, cold even the beauty that is Idaho even when Idaho is covered in snow. Yet the rest of the nation if not the world. When I hear from our states Governor that he is going to say Mexico or elsewhere to some trade invitation trip, why is there no visits to Hollywood to invite film makers, TV production firms to our state to film and make movie magic? Granted there are few if any acting schools or talent agencies, to snag local or walk on talent from in Idaho. Granted S-A-G does not have Idaho on its radar. Yet , with so many film stars and celebs in SunValley, Driggs, even living in Boise, why is Idaho not holding our a welcome sign to Idaho? The money that can be made from movie makers doing a production in a given town can be instrumental. Hollywood doing a weekly series in a given town can be a great eye opener. Case-n-point, Touched By An Angel , that had 80% or better of it filming down in SLC and greater Utah. Everything from cafe’s to prop makers, the scene builders get a piece of the pie. And its a good pie. I should know. During the era of TBAA, in Utah , I got a secondary contract to doing vehicle recovery on TBAA , guess what? I was able to knock down $50,000.00 a month that way. And I didn’t have to break my ass as much. Not to mention that dear sweet LexiBelle got featured a few times through product placement in the background. That kind of recognition can beat the best local TV ad. Yet with Idaho sinking into an even deeper economic quick sand pit, you’d think both state, and local government officials including county commissioners, state house, as well as legislative and yes Governor would get Idaho’s Film Commission up to speed even appoint someone that knows the who in Hollywood to go to Hollywood and pitch Idaho as the best location in the nation to make a movie. More over get some economic incentives for acting schools, talent agencies and local production companies to support the big boys from Hollywood if they should visit. Even extending a tree branch out there with a Idaho/SunValley Film Festival. Hey if a small silver mining town in eastern Utah can go from a near ghost town to one of Hollywood’s party towns just because of one actor and a thing called the Sundance Film Festival, why can’t Idaho?

As you head to the polls this fall, ask those running for office if they have considered these ideas, and if not, why not? Then say the CSA/CNP as your choice of political parties, since the CSA/CNP (Confederate National Party) is not afraid to think outside of the box, or in Idaho’s case, outside of that spud field.

Ignorance and arrogance Not Bliss !!

WOLFS LAIR PING1 225pxVma214a

0827_04e AYRETAG2

Warm weather it has been today. Needs to moderate it does.

Had a discussion the other day with a new recruit to the Confederate Marine Corps at the TF County Fair , that was not all it was promoted to be, but then few things are.

But the conversation was concerning the abilities to fly in The CMC. Which I feel is among the most valuable skills to be learned in the UCSMC. On the modern battlefield wars and conflicts will not be won by ground troops, more conflicts will be fought and victory will go to those who master aviation skills. But the new recruit thought it, that no personalization was given by the situation of shoot and forget weapons that are part of the arsenal of the modern military ayrecraft. The thinking being Air to Air combat is not going to last, and the days of serious A2A is a thing of the past. However while there is partial agreement there, fact is that despite the shoot and forget weapons, you still have to visually confirm your kill. That being such if what you shot at , still is breathing, you still see what you shot up close and personal, and that can result in immediate A2A .

With that said A2A skills are still required and must be improved and honed continually.

So there is not any sort of complete credibility of the demise of A2A skills training.

Okay I saw on you know whose attack site, that there are few that can scan and confirm that yours truly, is a certified aviator.

There is some albeit not entirely validity to that claim. My skills are strictly listed in the halls and all of the UCSMC, which are not transferable from military aviation to civilian aviation. While some of those skills can be forwarded as learned credit, only the CFI and the FAA’s civilian tests can finalize that transference. Thus, one needs to go through a reputable aviation training school.  Which I am in the process of doing. After all, shouldn’t the one who owns AyreWolf Aviation and the XO of the AyreWolvez be in the cockpit, not just in the hangar spinning wrenches? My weight was called into the question. Yes I’ll fully agree that I am heavy, but not overly so, and while I passed my FAA phys exam, the recommendation by the examining medic said I need to loose 65 pounds to be in top condition for the missions I’m working to be able to fly. With that in your grip, I have signed up with 24 Hour Fitness in Twin, which besides physical conditioning I will get both diet and nutritional instruction to enable me to be fit to do A2A on many farm fields, Fire suppression , and other services which are the operations that AyreWolf Aviation specializes in.

The other condition and this gets back to how you determine that your gun hit the target. How can , you know who, can say what is going on with me without personally getting off their butts, out from behind that computer screen, and come see for themselves? They can’t . They wont so their bitching is moot. But some busy bodies can’t help themselves, so what can you do. But ignorance and arrogance is not bliss. All it can do is just continue a childish turff war that no longer is needed or required.

But as infantile as some Yankees and I’m not talking of the baseball team are, you just have to consider the source and fly on.

Don’t forget , B-Flyte meeting Monday at 18:00 hours here at the Wolf’s Lair and the general membership meeting next week at Knytes Hall.

So I went to the Twin Falls County Fair

WOLFS LAIR PING1 225pxVma214a

So I took some money from the bank, went to the Twin Falls County Fair, yippee friging skipee . What I saw was a severe defraction of attractions. Commercial exhibits were skimpy at best, the few there really was. KMVT was there, but the reception was poor from the placement of the STL. So the news reports from the fair was not even quality, but then what do you expect from KMVT? There is a way to improve media operations in the area, but that’s a subject for a different blog. Can you say SSX Media?

Did meet a few fly guys at a new Helo training company in Twin, can you say, me gets my civvy wings sooner than expected. Also say this tiny helo that runs a albeit hybrid, but an oversized snowmobile engine. But it is vertical flight. Neat part? The little byrd will nearly fit right on the back of LiL Lexi, yet runs at 250 MPH. I know I flew the little bugger today. Not bad. I can see the light at the end of a long tunnel, buy 3 or 4 of these little choppers, put spray rigs on em, and one could fly these over fields, etc. The little choppers don’t burn much fuel. Can you finally say, AyreWolf Aviation in Idaho? Its not as far fetched as one might think. Granted its not the AyreWolf Aviation of Utah here, but it would be my part of it, after all its my name on ownership papers on everything AyreWolf Aviation at Bountiful SkyPark, we don’t need a big place, so this may yet take place.

Met a bunch of folks running for both Governor and so on. If I sold only 3 of them unlimited ad time for a year at $100.00 a month, that would get us in the studio office and begin to pay down bills. So things are looking green here in Southwestern Idaho.

So rolling back over to the fair, Friday to do the hard sell for our radio station.

Just like panning for gold, if you dig hard enuff you’ll find your treasures.

Next year expect to see the SOCF, CSA/CNP and AyreWolf Military Aviation Association booths at the Twin Falls fair.

Feet are tyred so I’m off to bed.

Computer is sick needs Computer Doctor

WOLFS LAIR PING1 WOLF EYES

Don’t want to alarm any of you , but my computer is having serious issues. So next Monday taking it in to our Computer Tech to get it debugged and running as it should, thus if ya’ll need to get in touch use the phone, most of ya’ll know my number , those who don’t its on my online business card that will be posted on the bottom of this blog . Hopefully the fixin of my little computer will not take long, but it needs to be done. So I’ll be offline for a few weeks.

Alrighty then; on AyreWolfFM/Hazzard County Radio station . The funds being what they are has resulted in the decision to just set up the station here inside my home here in Buhl at The Lincoln Courts Apartments, until we get everything running at full warp speed with a full staff etc. As it is although hiring will begin for the new station in December 2010 , still for a few months or so, since its only myself and 3 others that I trust running things radio station wise, its just more cost effective to put in here where I shed my fur, and hang my hat, rather than it being uptown here in Buhl. We still will be looking at renting the place on Broadway South come mid February, but as said , until we have it all at full mach speed, its best to just run it from and within the apartment here. Nuff said.

Long day at the Fair need feed and sleep, more menyanna, but in closing computer will be offline and so will I beginning a week from Monday, for a few weeks to get the little critter up to its full potential. So if ya’ll need to get in touch, phone me.

Second; Radio station will be here at the Wolf’s Lair, 123 13th Avenue North # D in Buhl, until further notice, or at least until there is a full staff and need to roll it up town to the Broadway Avenue office studio.

The Knyte Prowl

WOLFS LAIR PING1 WOLF EYES

Have you ever thought, I know if your thinking why are you reading this? Just kidding, no; have you thought how proficient your night to early morning as it becomes dawn is? Granted it’s a IFR for sure as your VFR is not as acute as it might be during day light hours, but night flying is a truly humbling experience. As I flew home last night through some choppy weather through a moon lit sky , mostly to tend to duties here at B-Flyte HQ including doing payroll for the ayrecrew the scenes on my HUD and that erry green glow coming off my Garmin screen , it is a magical time for sure.

Now to get to some business. The AyreWolvez , Utah Charter, have a great display at this years Utah State Fair, and got to thinking, no I was not drinking, but I got to thinking, how is it B-Flyte screwed the pooch on having an exhibit this year at one of Idaho’s fairs? Maybe next year.

I also felt the chill in the ayre, and need to ask ya’ll are you rather have you started thinking about winterizing your byrd for the winter season? More on that in an upcoming blog.

Finally , need to remind ya’ll here in the AyreWolvez, of the Reno AirShow. Coming up in two weeks. Flying, The Lady, down there for display, next years will be one of some note as yours truly will set a happening never before done. Putting an F-4-U Corsair against a P-51 Mustang, in a timed race and aerobatics contest. I say at 16,000 feet I can out do the Mustang.

As I was climbing out of THE LADY this morning, smacked my elbow on the arm pad right against the funny bone. Never have understood why they call it a funny bone, since if you hit it against anything, it sure ain’t funny. Crazy bone maybe, as it’ll make you crazy for a few minutes as you speak some serious Latin.

Any flyte, need some sleep, so no phone or other calls today friends, this old Wolf needs rest.

No more to say that hasn’t already been said

WOLFS LAIR PING1 0827_04e

All of us as members of the AyreWolvez know what is needed to be done. We also know where we are going, The projects on the boards and so on. As it sits you as members of the AyreWolvez are now able to be soaring on your own. We have achieved most of our aims, along with knowledge of the duty assignments etc. However our grounded brothers in the Knytes-of-Anarchy, need me and so that being that, my efforts here on this is offline for a few months.

The radio station is beginning to concern me. The basic premise of the format of the station is part of that concern. If we were setting the flagship of the station in Utah or someplace more military based, my concerns would be moot at best. The fact that the flagship is launching from a more rural area, and the fact that Buhl is a stones heave from Hazzard means doing more directed at Hazzard, not so much in the ayre. There is a moving feeling in me that says a return to our roots is required. Too many memories of things Hazzard are beginning to fade, if not being deleted all together. An effort to get the Dukes back on TV, even in syndication is utmost in my mind. And from your comments on our Hazzard County USA blog, yours too. Then there is an idea of coaxing the powers that be another Hazzard, or Dukes movie should be made. Maybe a film done on us called Hazzard Knytes would be something to watch, expanding Hazzard from the foundation of the Dukes into more of the rest of Hazzard County. Of course too, has anyone followed up on doing a movie version of B.J. & The Bear? How about a film that combined both? Then there is the thought of building our future TV station project here based on things Hazzard County. Have we forgotten the idea we began probing when I resided in Goons Ferry? Of a new version of HEE/HAW? What about a rural TV station that runs TV shows based on rural living? In time creating a TV network for cable and or satellite called Hazzard County TV or say Confederate Star TV ? The thing is, is the drag to get even the most modest TV ad produced and considering we will most likely have to do it ourselves, means if we are buying pro TV gear , might as well make the thing more to offer to others, likewise put up our own TV station, for all who live in rural America, more over rural Idaho. The radio station both online as well as over the air, is the first step. But being as the radio station is going to be OTA, we can’t just focus on things military aviation, we need to expand that. What better way than a Hazzard County radio station, with an hour or two devoted to things military aviation restoration and flying? Last but not least, the elections are coming at us faster than a rushing comet. The CSA/CNP needs a media voice, Hazzard County/Confederate Star Radio can be that voice. I think ya’ll know where this is headed, so I’ll close for now, but I’ll be on our Hazzard County USA blog as well as on Dixie Diesel Tymez , keeping ya’ll up to date. Upon bringing this entry to the tarmac, lets get our radio station to the point that we can transition into a TV station that other TV stations cannot, or will not do what we need it. Like all things, its tyme for us as both AyreWolvez as well as Knytes, to yet blaze another trail that others fear or do not travel.

Reminder , the monthly meeting of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and AyreWolvez, this weekend.

More Thursday on DDT.

Of course local TV was not there, but AyreWolf FM was

WOLFS LAIR PING1 csaflag

The night arrived for the area meeting of efforts and information on the Long Butte Fire near Hazzard(Hagerman) . The only two members of the area press? The Times News and of course AyreWolf FM. No showing from KTVB, KMVT, none of them, not even the Buhl Herald that I thought should have been there, since Buhl was in direct paths of the raging blaze, that is nearly contained at 330,000 acres. More accurately 400,000 acres. Many questions were asked, except only one that one from media would ask, so I did, like why wasn’t the area EBS Emergency Broadcast System, that even us at AyreWolf FM are required to have alerted? No EBS alert what so ever. Glad it wasn’t a major happening, like Tornado, or Hurricane. Many farmers and ranchers voiced their displeasure on how rather how ineffective the communication from area officials were with them. Between SIRCOM and BLM. Neither one can communicate with each other, on a radio channel. Dang, glad this wasn’t a natural major disaster, people would be dead. Any mile , I’ll have major information on the meeting held in Hazzard last night on the Fire, but know this while AyreWolf FM and the Times News was there, the rest just snoozed. Now who would you trust to deliver the news? Not KMVT, not KTVB. Certainly Not, it isn’t commercially ROI to warrant these two TV station’s attentions.
