When it comes to the choice of a vehicle to carry the message of both the Knytes-of-Anarchy as well as the AyreWolvez, TV has to rate as the number 1 outlet. Yet, the choice of that vehicle is not a big deal, since 90% of those that are into vintage military aviation are watching RTV since RTV is running both BlackSheep Squadron as well as our name sake Airwolf. Yet while I commend the original contact person there who we are working to bring on board HCTV, still should it be this hard to spend money with a broadcast outlet, or even a network. Granted the trash that has been thrown at us from MHI and all might get some in a reserve frame of mind, but with the addition of and the increased intensity of attention towards Military aviation and vintage but still flyable warbirds, we have gained a few new sponsors to our group with serious cash infusions into the treasury. But seems as though even with more dough, we still can’t get a TV ad up on TV. In fact the only way we got any altitude on this was when I myself took the bull by the balls and did the gig on Pocatello’s cable access TV channel, and shoot, that was free. But from casting talent for the ad, plus setting up a crew to shoot it and edit it, then getting the video to the who that gets it on air, this has been a real mule bear . Granted we are not the latest diet fad, nor the next law suit, for some odd calamity that should have been obvious to the person. It’s an attitude that if ya’ll want to get rich or get serious cash, just sue some company, call Sokolov attorney’s office , that’s a subject for a different time, getting back on the flyte plan here. The main mission in even doing a TV ad, is to reach out to those who are into vintage military warbird aircraft and unite them into an organization, of which right now there are only two others in the entire USA. There are those who will ask why? Simple as a nipple, poking through a bra on a cold Hazzard County winters morning, people who restore vintage military aircraft are those with some very, very deep pockets. Most vintage aircraft even partly restored can fetch upwards from a minimum of $300,000.00 to over several million dollars each . Fully licensed and airworthy. With that kin of affection, most love to show these byrds of love to others who share that affection, and addiction. Once bitten by flyte there is no cure. So reaching out coast to coast, punching a ad out for our soon to begin online warbird radio show of which there is only one other than us, but getting out the noise that we have something on air that folks that care, should want to tune into, is important, following that of course, is the organization itself between the AyreWolvez and the AyreKnytes, gaining membership. Now any forward thinking Retro TV network that is of a syndication variety, should want to jump on board with us, since our ads would open so many other doors, for them as far as advertisers. From Boeing to Courtesy Aircraft, to military ads, this would be a refreshing change for RTV. So now what? Shouldn’t RTV amongst others have a local or regional sales office here in the Mountain West, to sell to our area’s merchants looking for affordable advertising? I would think so. Considering that RTV has the lowest ad rates of all time. At $300.00 a snag for nationwide airings, against at minimum of a $1000.00 a pop for local prime time ads, means more bang for a hellovalot less bread. Yet should it be this damn hard to get this done? Remember the AyreWolvez never give up.
