Last night while I laid in my bed trying to invite sleep through some rather distant and translucent thoughts, this idea came into my mind. With all the difficulties in finding both on ayre as well as female model talent for TV ads the concept came through my brain that continued to drain into mid morning.
Why not do our own agency for talent? After all Miss Miller had expressed some interest in the idea and with Kim at Z103 TF, saying he wanted to create a radio school or course at either CSI, or a location off campus. For us as both an MC and classic/custom truck/vintage warbird organization as well as a media services company a talent school/agency would provide a ready talent pool for those times we need such. Likewise if talent pays us for the representation as well as training, it would provide some needed bread & butter income to the club, as well as to all involved. For the talent, it would provide a part time job, for both college aged girls as well as even older women from paid talent fees. So I’m putting that on the table for this months meeting. I’m blogging about it now to get ya’ll to be thinking what if and could be. Likewise what about the TV thing? If being ignored by way too many stations in our area, why not put up our own. From what I have been reading here lately from the FCC’s home page amongst others, there s Federal grant money out there for community LPTV stations, likewise I understand our original point of attack in Pocatello is up for sale. If we got at it, we could put together a grouping of stations together as well as up on both Satellite/Cable as well as OTA . Bring the shows we love together with some TV , done Hazzard style and go to the bank with a smile, or at least a smirk.
Talking of both media and print. This months EasyRiders had a centerfold that they ought to have done without. I’m not being racist here or anything, but lets just say the ethnic value of the gal posing with the Little Red Hot Rod bike was less than appealing. It’s probably just me, but I’d rather have seen a busty red head with eyes o green with that machine.
With that said , reported in this months EasyRiders, seems as though Michele Smith, is back on TV. Yep there will be a new show on Discovery’s HD Theater, being hosted by Michele. Watch this kick butt on the old show she created with American Thunder.
Last here, the new edition of The Wolf’s Lair printed edition goes on sale this next week. Being distributed throughout the region except for MHI , Goons Ferry and Ignore County Idaho.
The old thought if there is no one else to do it or we all face too many road blocks, So why not us do it?
My thoughts I could be wrong.
