Been noticing , that it gets colder during the wee hours of early morning. Is that a sign of the renewal of life? Or is it the condition of letting us know about all the mistakes we have made, with the gal we met last night at the Boars Nest?
Have you noticed that Google’s YouTube, has been turning off or flat removing your favorites from the carefully assembled playlists? If you need to keep those dear tunes, hook up a cassette tape deck to the audio output of your computer and record and save that found selection. If you don’t , it might not be there in the future.
Have you noticed , that even now , that most women especially those you see on TV, still do not show their feet? In nylons or not, the pedicure and just forgotten condition of their feet are never or seldom shown? Why is that? Is it that women are disgraced of their feet, or is it that few women know of the heat than can be caused by playing with their toes and feet?
Have you ever noticed ? That networks , especially TV and radio, still can’t tell time? I remember , sitting at the station when I worked at KLIX AM 1310, in Twin Falls Idaho in their olden days, waiting for the news network, to send down the tone at the top of the hour. I remember the tone, but seldom did the news start smack dab on the first second at the top of the hour. Most usually it would start at 2 seconds past the hour. The old fashioned autocue automation systems had a conniption fit if the news never came down on time.
Why is it that tech magazines like say Eweek, has more problems with their web sites? Shouldn’t a publication that publishes news and views of computer technology do a better job with their own Internet web site? Computers are great, but even still a computer is only as intelligent as the person programming or using it.
Have you also noticed that ads featuring storylines of things in the office, that are interacting between men and women in the office, in reality could never really happen? Most of that interaction would be litigated if a man approached a woman at the work place, in that way. How about those ads for Kit Kat candy. Those folks are sure making a bunch of noise crunching on those Kit-Kat’s. Somehow , my Kit Kat’s never are that crunchy, most usually turn into a gooey chocolate mess. How about those ads for that invention outfit. At least their being truthful, saying that the guy who submitted the idea for the water slide for the toy company Whamo. At the end they say, the results are not typical, and most inventions are not successful. Okay fine, but if that’s the case, why waste the money to put such an ad on TV in the first place?
Finally, do you miss Burt Sugarman’s MidNight Special, or perhaps Friday Night Videos? If so, you’ll be happy to know CST is looking at reviving those two shows. Speaking of which, did you know there is talk of a revival tour of a combination Earth-Wind & Fire/KC and the Sunshine Band in mid 2012.
I’ll be one to be at the front of the ticket buying line for that gig.
See ya’ll Monday.
