I have noticed many of our overnight spots are no longer over night. In fact many are closing after midnight, and even ones that claim to be open until midnight or later are shut down at 10:00PM such as the Sonic Drive Inn in Jerome. Sonic’s claim to fame or ad plugs have been the best things at Sonic are available after midnight, problem is; no open, no Sonic treats. Maybe Sonic needs to modify their ads a bit huh? Any flyte, there are many of us who pursue life after dark. Such as us who tow, truck and even fly. The service work goes on with our aircraft after midnight, since we don’t get bothered much either by phone or customers after the midnight bell tolls. Of course those doing the OTR shuffle are out since there are not as many stupid 4-wheelers out after midnight on the big road, likewise the rule of old skool towing is going 24/7/365. But if your one who works after the 00:00 time bell, and your looking for food, fuel or even can of snuff where do you go? Maverick, okay, but outside of a very few have you ever tried to fuel a full bodied carrier at a Maverick? More over , eating those who knows how long on the roller those hot dogs at Maverick are not for consumption. Finally snuff. Maverick, Jacksons and such do not rotate inventory enough, so that can of SKOAL your hungry for, will no doubt be at least 2 if not more weeks old. I have always thought of opening a shop called the Snuff House. No smokes , only smokeless tobacco, and accessories. Stocking with the basic products, from U.S. Tobacco, but going as far as including , SparkPlug, DaysWork, amongst others, and spit toons and so on. Something along the lines of a chewers purists store. And yes staying open after midnight. Any flyte, I’d like your input, Does everyone go to bed after 10:00PM ? Even programming TV after midnight, do TV execs think that no one is awake after midnight? How about a Overnight PrimeTime Block? Something we are working on at CST here, but I really need your input , Is America getting lazier? Since not only are they not awake after midnight, but many only work 3 to 4 days out of the week. Or has the Worlds economy gotten so bad that nobody feels its worth busting ass overnight or at least 6 days out of the week?
