Just stopping short of the 20 yard line near Tuttle the valiant efforts of the BLM, Hazzard Fire Department, Bliss Fire Department, and even us at AyreWolf Aviation, the Long Butte Fire is partly contained after scorching some 300,000 acres. Never saw a fire jump a river , but it did. The burial grounds of the historical Hazzard Horse was purtty well torched. But in most cases what needed to be saved , was saved. Thankfully the tiny shed and grounds of the tower that will throw the juice of SSX/AyreWolf Radio in two months was saved along with the power feader lines so yes we were blessed.
I heard that AssDorks Hate crew is still at it. Funny though, unless someone points someone to it to read it , nobody goes there. I still have to say, I have been to many places, lived in few, existed in many yet never have I been welcomed with as open arms as I have been in Buhl here. Recollecting back to the days leading up to moving to Goons Ferry, stopped in Buhl for fuel, had a bit of an issue with the starter of LiL Lexi, although I got it fixed myself, the fact of so many even then asking could they help, should have been a divine sign. Could much of the thick mud I have tread since that day been avoided had I just set my sites on Buhl, and ignored , Ignore County? That’s history and although none of us can rewrite history, or edit our past , we can at least learn from it. That was what I was getting at on Friday’s blog on Dixie Diesel Tymez. Even though finally some real Gold is showing for us as a combined organization, to loose site of our roots, to be able to look at the examples of mistakes made, is only to repeat those mistakes and thus its good to look at our six, as we look at our 12.
Has decency been decided on by how much money you spend? Case-n-Point, the grumpy monkeys at Cable One said they were offended at some of the content of the scripting of our TV ads for the running season of SOA , on FX that runs on Cable-One’s system. Yet I see or is that Saw? Any flyte, saw that one TV ad has girls in a hot tub , wearing bikini’s and one for a ladies underwear store. Yet they got spooked at hot bods in tight flight suits, for the Knytes? Same shit I went through in Hazzard at Hazzard High, only the royalty gets what they want, all others get excuses. If its a great idea or concept, only those with their nose up the right peoples assholes gets, while the real person with the idea or concept is branded stupid or weird. Even with the AyreWolvez, many shun us as a club, yet I can remember years ago, when we thought up the idea of a QRU, there in Hazzard. Simply because then,(1973) it took so damn long to get a meat wagon, to Hazzard, for the COPD spells Mom had. Which might have had something to do with the fact Dad bought our own meat wagon. Any mile, an Explorer Post was proposed Dad was willing to fund the damn thing, but because I was not of the Hazzard Royalty, I was nuts to propose such. Yet when Young Johnson proposed the same thing, he was called innovative. And then some ask why I’m bitter and full of hate. Shit no hate , just pissed off. I still think there is a ton and a half of folks that owe us so much, more over myself and Mom & Dad that if I went to reclaim it all, I’d own 80% of the Hazzard valley. Including that Cat Ten sitting on a pole just a few miles from the Bliss grade, on the Hazzard side on US – 30. Then some think , I should be satisfied when I get so irked that those that I helped, along with Mom & Dad, that now that I could use a hand up, not a hand out, but a hand up that when I get slapped I, just shrug it off, but as its said , every Wolf has his day, and ours fellow Wolvez is coming. Sooner than many think.
