I get criticized all the time for not having both a standard bank account or credit card. Thing is, no matter how damn secure you think your identity is, there are hackers out there that reek havoc on your finances among other things that you’ll never , ever fully recover from. No matter how great your credit, no matter secure the card your using, its not fully secure. I hoard the receipts from all my EBT charges, even bills, whether its a phone, cable, or even gas bill, if it has my name on it, I never throw it out. I will shred it first. Even burn it, but never dispose anything that can allow some identity thief to steal, albeit even pretty trashed credit, and any kind of thievery. Sure its a pain in the ass to always carry cash, yes I hate to pay the place I cash my monthly checks, but, I have never held a long term bank account. The Knytes-of-Anarchy has never held a true blue bank account. Nor will we. Oh sure we have computer files with our membership stats and all, but those are never , ever accessible through or over the Internet. That computer has no Internet access, port. I’d rather send a bill, or get a written invoice, send a certified money order, like I did with Mike, who has yet to get it, which is part of the snail mail process. But I’m very sure , it’ll get to him. If nothing else , would give me a good reason to go to Boise. Any mile, what I’m getting to, criticize me if you want to, fault the Knytes/AyreWolvez for not having a standard bank account, tell me I’m full of crap since I have no credit card, but I know where my money is, I know how much I can spend and I know the limits. So fault me if ya’ll want, but my money is secure and so am I.
