I’m very happy that good old Bill Shatner got a job. The new gig airs at 19:30 hours Hazzard Standard Time on CBS KMVT-11 . The show is called Shit-my Dad Says. The foundation of the new series is that a kid moves in with his rather flamboyant father. It’s not bad, but falls short of the previous work that creator Chuck Lorey created with Two & Half Men. Also a CBS Network offering. I do think Shit My Dad Says has its moments. The thing is that with all the poor outcroppings coming from Hollywierd that you’d think a modern reviving of the Dukes, or some good ONE HOUR drama would emerge. After all they did resurrect H-50 , why not the Dukes? Same thing goes for such local offerings like the local news. Both our local stations offering a newscast fall far short of anything really interesting. For me and its nice at least Cable One does something right, our local cable system here pipes in the Eyewitness news from KSL-5 out of SLC. A much better newscast, interesting stories and at least albeit limited, but at least some eye candy. But more over one hours worth of real news. Not just two maybe 3 stories with a bunch of fill in. If only Idaho could catch up with Utah.
Many of you might think that I’d be much more in mourning over Jimmy’s passing. Thing is , Jimmy was as much of a Star Trekker as I am. In the light there, thing is Jimmy would want us to be celebrating his life and memories , not being sad over the fact that he is gone. He is only gone in this dimension. Jimmy will be with us in our hearts, the peculiar thing is, when one dies we turn to grieving and being sad. We then are in reality feeling sorry for ourselves. Like Jimmy used to say, Boo-Hoo, Hoo. Jimmy is in Stovacore, cranking out tunes on his Fender guitar and can now see out of both eyes. I lift off for Fresno at 08:00 hours. So need much sleep.
But at least Capt Kirk has a new gig, maybe that will reduce the stupid Priceright Commercials.
