News Corp, the owners and parent company of cable channels such as FX and FoX news will be shutting off the flow to customers of Dish Network if negotiations between the two for fees are not resolved by Oct 31st 2010. Further many cable carriers of the networks are also going through a battle with FoX as well. My opinion here is this. The more cable services and such that FoX piss’s off the fewer cable companies will carry the networks of Fox. This will reduce FoX’s value in many areas. Cablevision in both Penn and New York have come to a stall in their negotiations, so such sports events such as the MLB Playoffs will not be seen there. Tweaking a bunch of MLB fans off. Several Congressional Reps, are calling for the FCC to intervene. FoX owns the network FX that carries our beloved SOA, so should we get involved here? In this case greed is not serving the need.
